Theological Education & Leadership Training Materials

Prepared by Dr. Larry E. Haag

For the Equipping of the Saints of God Internationally

NOTE: All materials are prepared for the “saints,” to use the great Apostle Paul’s term in

Ephesians 4:12 (NKJV). They are intended to equip ALL of the People of God in ALL of the Word of God for ALL of the Work of God, namely, evangelism, church planting and the enrichment and maturation of their own local church. The term TE is deliberately used to indicate that this “program” is a serious and effective local church approach for equipping God’s people for rewarding and God honoring service.

Question: What better place is there to do theological education than in the local church?

Ephesians 4:11-12

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,

some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

to prepare God’s people for works of service,…

(NIV)

Question: What is the #1 problem to church planting ministry today?

Answer: It is not a place to plant a new church; the #1 problem, as I see it and

have been seeing it for about 40 years, is, Who will lead that new church?

NOTE: Other primary Biblical texts are Matthew 28:19 and 2 Timothy 2:2.

NOTE: All courses are 10 hours unless indicated otherwise. The longer course materials

can easily be divided up to be studied in the “10-hour” Modular format.

NOTE: These study materials have been used all across Central & Eastern Europe and

are now being carried to every continent by fellow missionaries from a variety of mission agencies. In addition to C&EE over the years 1996-2004, I personally have used these materials in Brazil, where this whole idea originated in my mind and heart back in the 1970s, as well as more recently in Cuba, Greece, India and Nepal. God has been very good in blessing these study materials in churches on every continent, Antarctica excepted as far as I know.

May God grant the widest and most effective use of this Bible based, church focused series of studies to His own Honor and Glory.

“We need schools without walls and teacher/learners who are at the same time pastors” (Conn, 302).

Quotation: “This is the beginning of a new era in our church. This week has given our people tools to work with to serve the Lord better” (Pastor Mario, Cuba). This comment came at the end of an eight evening Modular/conference in his church south of Havana.
